what do people mean by farming? - Guild Wars Forums

The title says it all, ive heard alot of talk about it but dont no what it means.

It means that you are fighting the same mobs over and over again to optain a certain item or to obtain enough junk to sell for money.

farming is a practice of camping an area and repreatly killing and looting the same creature until a desire item is drop

While growing up, grandpappy always grew corn, sugar snap peas, and green beans. I'll be damned if he didn't call that farming!

Farming in GW is going to a certain group of enemies/boss/bosses and killing them, then rezoning and doing it again and again.

But there is a anti-farming code, so after about 10 runs, ususally people either go to another area to farm there for about 10 runs and then they come back to the first area, or they go do misisons/quests for a little and then come back.
